Normal clingfilm is good cause it sticks and wraps basically around everything right? But did you know that in order for it to do that there are a lot of chemicals and resins used, which can leak into your food, it’s also non-recyclable and not biodegradable So its harmful on so many levels.
Our silicone food wraps have so many benefits, they are reusable, create a water tight seal around any container/dish and don’t add to the world’s plastic waste issues.

-You can wash them in the dishwasher, but to give them a longer life, just wipe/rinse them in some soapy water.
-Stretch and pull the wraps from one side of the container to the other to create a seal, press and hold the excess edges after you wrap it to make sure it sticks.
-Make sure the wrap and the surface your sealing is completely dry otherwise it won’t seal well.
Silica is a naturally occurring chemical element which is found in sand. Silicone is made from silica. Silicone can be made in many ways, for example it can be heated with magnesium, the magnesium steals the oxygen atoms from the silica and creates silicone.
The silicone is then rolled out repeatedly in a round press to get it to the desired size, its then cut and pressed to the desired shape and texture. The boarder colours and logos are printed on it and the matt is then vulcanized (heated to cure the non-toxic polymers) and its then ready to use!
Just like any other product there is energy put into creating it, however given that it is reusable, recyclable and highly functional – it’s definitely worth it.
