The mat is made from large bamboo trees from Chinese farms. These trees are fed into machinery to form smaller narrow pieces suitable for carving the components of the mat design using CAD machinery. The mat is made up od smaller components, which are glued using AB epoxy resin and polished using vegetable oil.
